A personal invitation

Hey,
I'm Lateef.

We may have seen each other around Easton Park for years. Or maybe we just met.

Either way, I'd like to know you.

Why I gave you the card ↓

Why?

I want us to know each other.

Easton Park is full of interesting men from different professions, families, backgrounds and life experiences.

Yet many of us pass each other every day without ever really connecting.

I think we're missing something.

I'm especially interested in creating stronger connections among Black, African American, Hispanic/Latino and other men of color in our community.

Not because our experiences are all the same.

Because some of our experiences aren't.

Fatherhood.
Relationships.
Career. Money.
Health. Aging.
Stress. Success.
Failure. Purpose.

There are things we experience simply because we're men.

And there are ways culture, race, upbringing and our individual experiences can shape how we navigate them.

I think there is value in knowing one another well enough to have those conversations.

My intention

This isn't a business.

I'm a coach and business owner, but I'm not building this to find clients.

I'm doing it because I believe connection matters.

I want to know more of the men who live around me. I want other men to know each other.

I want us to learn from one another, support one another, laugh together, challenge one another and perhaps make our community a little stronger in the process.

No sales pitch.
No membership.
No big commitment.

A framework for flourishing

What does a good life look like?

Positive Psychology gives us a useful framework called PERMA.

P

Positive Emotion

Joy, gratitude, hope and optimism.

E

Engagement

Using our strengths and being fully involved in life.

R

Relationships

Friendship, family, brotherhood, mentorship and belonging.

M

Meaning

Purpose, values, contribution and something larger than ourselves.

A

Accomplishment

Growth, achievement, learning and becoming.

R

Maybe we start here.

Relationships.

Before programs, meetings, committees or organizations, let's simply start by knowing who's already here.

Where could this go?

I don't know yet.

And that's intentional.

I don't want to decide what this community needs by myself.

I'd rather ask the men who will help create it.

Coffee & Breakfast
Fatherhood
Marriage & Relationships
Health & Fitness
Career & Business
Money & Investing
Purpose & Growth
Culture & Identity
Mentorship
Community Service
Happy Hours & Dinners
Just Meeting Good People

Your turn

Introduce yourself.

You know a little about why I gave you the card.

Now I'd like to know a little about you.

It should take about 60–90 seconds.

Connection → Conversation → Community

Strong relationships create stronger men.

Stronger men strengthen families.

Strong families strengthen communities.
